# 1 Free consultation -A free consultation should always be offered making sure you fully understand what the treatment entails including results and risks. It’s important to be able to leave the consultation, maybe do extra research before booking in treatment date. You should feel confident and happy with the decision to go ahead with your chosen treatment plan. All your questions should be answered and you should never be under pressure to have treatments done there and then.

#2 Google – Stalk the practitioner, look for bad reviews, any unethical negligence or previous investigations by the medical council.

#3 Qualifications – If not displayed feel free to ask to see relevant qualifications, this will also confirm how long they practitioner has been practicing for.

#4 Insured – Has the practitioner got public liability and full insurance for the treatment you are going ahead with? Should a complication occur this is incredible important.

#5 Clinical waste disposal – Sharps boxes and waste disposal contracts need to be in place to ensure safety of clinical waste disposal and protect against airborne diseases.

Aesthetics is a subject in its own right and can only be practiced by a qualified practitioner a medical back ground isn’t essential however the following is compulsory

* First aid trained

* Fridge in the room, correct storage of medicine and in date epi pen on hand.

* Hard floor (no carpet)

* Sink in the room

* Injectable treatments should not be carried out in a home environment.
